Good time? Bad time?

What a huge decision it is to buy a home. I'll admit though, when I made my first purchase I was 29 years old and nieve. I didn't understand the purchase process at all and my unhappily married Realtor spend most of our driving time lamenting his marriage and wife. "I'm not made out of money. Does she think I'm made out of money?" I'm not kidding. It was p a i n f u l.

I lucked out. Though my Realtor was a poor educator and communicator, he helped me into a small home that has appreciated very well and proven to perfectly fit my needs. When I went to purchase my investment property I found a fantastic Realtor, and now friend, who ended up being part of my decision to go into real estate. And the property I ended up buying has also proven to be a fantastic investment.

My point is; it's a big decision and it matters very much who you work with, who's on your TEAM. You'll need a mortgage broker, a real estate agent (Realtor) and an inspector. You could say it takes a villiage. The same goes for new construction. You will want an agent by your side.

It's a unique time and historic opportunities will be just that soon....history. The Fed will eventually raise their lending rates to the bank who will turn around and raise their lending rates to us. And the homebuyer tax credits will disappear. And friends and family will be kicking themselves for not having made the move. It happens. Just don't let it happen to you. If the time is right, let's get a team together and get going!
